At OTT Consulting we recognise the vital contribution that Organisation Development can make to fully realising your organisations potential. It is true that all business strategies, and the results they are intended to achieve, must be achieved by people. It is also true that it is people’s collective and individual capability, and their motivation which determine the success or failure of any strategic implementation. Unlike many of our competitors, at OTT Consulting we believe that to enable success we must consider the organisation, its constituent parts and the vital role that people play in delivering success.  

 

Our approach therefore emphasizes the need to improve and sustain the contribution of people to the effectiveness of the organisation.  Improving and sustaining the contribution and commitment of people necessitates the development of a strategy for dealing with the people issues and leading, motivating and managing people consistent with the future direction and needs of the business at the same time as addressing the needs for the business led change itself. Our approach to organisation development therefore is always to address our client’s need and to design ‘change programmes and projects’ so that the right things happen for the right reasons by fully integrating both the people change plans and the business led  change plans.

 

In practice this means that we need to focus our combined efforts on four stages (assess, plan, implement and renew).  Each stage is critical for both achieving successful change, and for sustaining the business benefits from the change programme itself.  We will therefore ensure that together we:

  • Make the change essential - by assessing and confirming the need for change   

  • Make you change ready - by planning for the change and managing the associated risks

  • Make the change happen - by implementing the plan and releasing the energy

  • Make the change stick - by realising the opportunity created by the change.

In summary, our style is to work in partnership with the client, using our organisation development expertise, consulting, training, facilitation and coaching skills to make sure that skills development and transfer actually happens.  This approach ensures that our client team members develop through the experience and are left with a positive legacy.  OTT Consulting draws on the knowledge, capability and expertise of all our team players, whether full time employees or associates.  It is the collective strength of our team which helps our clients transform their business to achieve significant increases in value, profitability and effectiveness through creating the conditions required for success.
